Dr william tan`s life changing story


Dr william tan was diagnosed with polio at the age of two, which left him paralyzed him from the waist down, having so many obstacles at such a young age, many questions can he lead a normal life like any other kids, and the astounding news was, not only did he, but he lived a live fill with PASSION, fill with miracles to many but to him, he does not see the problems as obstacles but rather as challenges for him to excel even better!


When he was challenged about the wisdom of becoming a doctor ‘with a disability,’ he earned his
degree and went on to serve in hospitals in Australia and Singapore.



When he couldn’t walk, he chose speed instead, setting records for speed and distance around the world. He became a paralympian, participated in marathons all over the world, and eventually set a world record by completing 7 marathons on 7 continents in the shortest time ever recorded! Along the way, he raised over $10 million for different causes, mostly for childhood cancer and other pediatric medical conditions.






























And all my friends, do you want to know how did he overcome all odds, how to tap into that sheer strength and determination that we all already possess and channel it to our dreams and goals and overcome virtually anything you want to in your life which you have been putting up with all along! Yes this will be it ! this will be a one of 2010 most impactful event in your lifes!

Year 2010 has brought some of the greatest change out of these few years...
it has been a tremendous roller coster ride for myself... events so impactful that it totally swipe me off balance...

back and flew to Malaysia K.L to attend our company`s profit sharing rally. This year one of the greatest privileges was that we were able to work with Tom n Jac`s FET excellence team of top business leaders in the team marketing industry. It has created so many sparks and open up the pandora`s box of the finer and exact pin point details of what are the to dos and focus in managing this business... it has been truly the most wonderful learning/working and even playing experiences over my whole 8 - 10 years in this industry


I believe the foundation was build on over the years and its was waiting... waiting for the wise man to come one day and give you the light.. for you to see a bigger perspective.
all past experiences will not gone to waste... its was meant to prepare you for a bigger achievement which was coming to you as long as you never gave up. keep walking

Flew to back to Cambodia. Great news. Business grows 150%, and may New NDP system will further booast the markets up. below is our cambodia office staff, rose and akin

this my new parnter during this trip, his name is Sok Meat, he is a university student currently working and studying, he is working at a 24 hr super mart, speaks good english and we met when i was buying mineral water :)

I met ah long, during my last trip, he is a shop owner in city mall shopping center in phom penh
he has 3 shops in different shopping malls.. he only 21, teenagers starts business in this city all around this age... truly inspiring...
i brought a pair of sneakers the other time and he can speak chinese!
so i came back and met up with him this time round, and he is interested to start up a skincare line with me, he got a pack and started using himself :)


Another partner from my previous trip, amom, this time round she brought her friend ( and she translates for me ) her friends wants to know more on skincare as well.. both are university students, business is going good. average income for most people in cambodia is around $ 80 USD. and our business they can make over $100- 300USD for a start

oh.. actually she was one of my customer during my road show during jan,

met up with her and she is also a boss of a food restuarent as well as a sub contractor for clothhing and materials industry. most businesss people makes 20'000 - 30'000 USD per deal.

so the gap is really quite big...

U can really see BIG CARS here.. HUMMER, etc etc and untill the day i was there, buying of cars strictly No installments, ONLY CASH :)

well they are implementing installments this year...

my new partner, Sambo, a very fluent speaker who is in the tourism industry. he will be in siem riep ( anchorwat there ) he came and pay me a visit before leaving to the place :)

business starts to grow in different areas of cambodia



last day, phew relax at a german beer house, one of alvin`s partners, happens to be a singaporean, well im a beer man, alvin hmm he is a cocktail man, haha :)

ya after that we went to malacca and open up a new business there as well.

What do you advice for people starting out in the society who is a little confuse on where to go ?

Bill : for me, I was lucky I got started very early as in I was kind of obsess with what I do

Buffett: marry the right person, it will trigger all your inspiration and change u as a person
Work not for the dollar but for someone (or company) who you really admire
And read everything again and again and again
And do that not for the money and you can truly enjoy what you do.


Alternative energy good area to invest >?

Bill : Not because we really do not know which one is the one to help us create the power we need, nuclear, wind, solar etc not enough r n d is done but one will emerge which is going to save us time cost and do no harm to the environment.

Investing

Buffett: Look not at the current situation but at the long term perspective of a company because as long it’s a good business, eventually overtime its going to be bigger as the population demands business grows, so look long term, I dont bother with what happening now, next week, next month, long term perspective.

Burlington rail why?

Buffett: Cos transport is cheaper, more environment friendly, goods are going to be shipped, by rail is far most enconomically, environmental friendly , and efficient
Petrol consumption example of rail and trucks. One rail is = 280 trucks. Etc
when the Country is good, the rail will be good.

What is the qualities that you have compare to others as there so many people who want to become the next bill, buffett etc but most never make it

Bill: PASSION
WE DIDN’T do if for money although we knew we gonna get rich,

Buffet: a correct mentor, my mentor is Benjamin graham , and i got started very early and didn’t let others affect me, i believed in the right mentor, so when everyone esles was starting to oppose what i believe and what my mentor has taught me, i choose to focus only on my mentor teachings and beliefs.
And everyday I look at the mirror and its always agrees with me and I get out doing what I believe in

Business leaders should have what kind of character, and what makes your business so successful ?

Bill: Experience and always thinks on making our business harder for others to compete, making our business unique is important.

Buffett, do this business like a family business and you are not going to sell it, and is going to work on it for 100 years. that is the attitude i have and i share with all my business managers.

Bill, look long term, self confidence, believe that this is going to work out (like I dropped out of Harvard and ask my friends to help me, self confidence) and seized it (opportunity) cause its not going to come along that often

Most important mentors ?

Bill: dad mom, they were lawyers and my dad always share what he doing at work, really learn a lot and people from mensa who shares about the experiences and how they dealt with events in their life

Value investing fundamentals investing is very important but I heard you make a decision over 5 mins on investment in companies

Buffett: laughs ... that’s 50 years of preparation and 5 min of decision
